Can someone explain to me like I’m 4 years old, how spurs can afford to spend what they are? And why are they vastly overpaying for Man City players? Suss as fuck.

They bring in over £700m per year, regardless of where they finish in the league, with the new stadium (NFL deal, Beyonce concerts etc), and you're allowed to spend upto 85% of your revenue.MmmBlueBranthwaite wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2026 7:08 pm Can someone explain to me like I’m 4 years old, how spurs can afford to spend what they are? Supposedly we brought in around £200m in the last season at Goodison, and the estimate is that's gone up to £260m now at the new gaffe (although we have to pay £30mish a year to pay for the ground). So that works out at only an extra £30m wiggle room initially.Audrey Horne wrote: ↑Thu Aug 20, 2026 9:11 pm Wow
So all this shite we are looking to do at our ground means we can eventually spend loads of money!!?

It’s nothing dodgy, Spurs are having a Moshiri phase and are just lashing stupid money at everyone that’s played in the PremMmmBlueBranthwaite wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2026 6:40 am Something super dodgy is going on here. Why are Spurs helping Man City to cook he books?
