Can someone explain to me like I’m 4 years old, how spurs can afford to spend what they are? And why are they vastly overpaying for Man City players? Suss as fuck.

They bring in over £700m per year, regardless of where they finish in the league, with the new stadium (NFL deal, Beyonce concerts etc), and you're allowed to spend upto 85% of your revenue.

Even at the old WHL they generated massive income in comparison to clubs (like is) with similar sized stadiums. It makes their lack of success and major trophies over the years even more bizarre.

Supposedly we brought in around £200m in the last season at Goodison, and the estimate is that's gone up to £260m now at the new gaffe (although we have to pay £30mish a year to pay for the ground). So that works out at only an extra £30m wiggle room initially.

But yeah, the intention is that we massively increase events/concerts etc in the coming years, and that should give us a load more spending capability.

We need to get that Beyonce/Taylor Swift money.

It’s nothing dodgy, Spurs are having a Moshiri phase and are just lashing stupid money at everyone that’s played in the Prem

City rumoured to now be sniffing around Wharton which would give them a good young hungry English CM pairing

That's an awful feeling £75 + 10m. Fuck and still after Marmoush and Gapko , that would be something like half a bill.

Don't even rate de Zerbi , he's a prick too.
