Feels like watching one of umpteen Everton cup games under Moyes against lower league opposition. His career's littered with these kind of games.

Can't see Beale lasting at Sunderland. At least under Mowbray they looked a decent team even if they didn't get the results. They're already looking pretty turgid.

Will be shocked if Leicester, Southampton and Leeds aren't coming straight back up. Goes to show that last year was a really strong year in the Prem because three teams coming back up instantly never happens.

It's quite possible (points deductions aside) that the Prem of 22/23 and 24/25 are the exact same sides.

Ipswich have done exceptionally well in fairness to them and look the only realistic spanner in the works.

Has Toney admitted any guilt or shown much self-reflection in his 59 interviews this week or still woe is me and whoring himself out to other clubs?

Saw a bit of an interview on Sky and he was asked about the diagnosis of gambling addiction just said he was fine etc. Didn't seem to want to talk too much about it, would far rather talk about a potential moves, top clubs, winning trophies and displacing Harry Kane in the England squad. Hopefully Brentford stick to their guns and keep him until the end of the season.

Been listening to some Palace fans recently and a lot of their gripes seem to ring true for us tbh. Their owner has checked out of the situation, refused to invest in the team in any meaningful way and just wants to survive, annoyed that Hodgson plays super defensive football and doesn't get the best out of their players or use talented young players like Franca, and resigned to losing Eze and Olise in the near future when they would much rather buy a couple of other similar talents to play along side them.

They always seem like quite a sound fanbase. Got a lot of time for them.
