Watched his vid the other day, seems like a nice fellow and he really really likes the ground! at "toffee-hammer"

Amazing news, and this is just the start:

Everton Stadium has been chosen to host the historic return of Rugby League's Ashes series this autumn.

Rugby League Commercial confirmed that the traditional England-Australia challenge will return after a 22-year absence.

Everton’s new waterfront home will host the decisive Second Test on 1 November, with the three-test series starting at Wembley Stadium (London) on 25 October and ending at AMT Headingley (Leeds) on 8 November.

The matches will be played on three consecutive Saturday afternoons – with each kicking off at 2.30pm and shown live on BBC One in the UK.

Hope it doesn’t ruin the pitch, I presume there’s an international break then.

I've seen them do that at Carlisle and wondered what it was about.

How much can a hovercraft cost to maintain  ?
I can lend you one, you just need to get rid of the eels.

Hmm... How is the second test in a 3 match series the "decisive test?" ...."Potentially decisive", granted.

Great to be a venue of choice for additional events, and all part of the marketing model, I am sure. I would want to be sure the pitch has matured and robust enough to cope, so it doesn't detract from the next football match.

You'll get used to RL marketing! They have probably realised that is when we go two down to the Aussies and then accidentally published that but joking aside, it will be a great event and the pitches always stand up pretty well. I'd not worry about that.

Come on England!
