I stand by my earlier "stick dick in crazy" assessment. One can only imagine what a shittastrophe one finds when you get "due diligence" level access to our books.
Only a bunch of complete, bent, cokehead lunatics like 777 would look at same and be like "sure, no problem."

It's just never straight fucking forward is it?
I thought this was a new dawn. We've taken our medicine the last 7 years and this was all about moving forward finally.
We must be due a fucking break soon.

So what do we reckon for the short and medium term then?
Presumably transfer ins stop immediately?
And I wonder how real administration is?

And if we sell Branthwaite now you can bet Moshiri pockets it.

I think the short term is fine.
Can still buy players and not have to sell. Long term who knows.
Nobody can guess at this point.

I don't necessarily see why they would stop. Selling and buying would still be allowed. It's been happening all this time anyway.
I'm just clueless about the actual long term future of the club. No one knows at this point. It's guess work.

I think I’m done now. Can only get to 6 games next season. I’ll go to the last game at Goodison but just to say I was there. My enjoyment from Everton has drained away more and more each year. This was a final spark of hope that we might get something right but that’s been extinguished now. Not even sure I care that much either now

This will rumble on for ages now. The whole due diligence process takes ages in itself as well as pending approval from the Premier league for any perspective new owners.
Fuck it. You can't get excited anyway. Even if we do get bought out something tells me there are problems that run a hell of a lot deeper that won't just be sorted out by being taken over. Just feels like the club is done.

Id agree we should basically never get excited, its the hope that kills you after all.
However, the worst case scenario is administration, followed by a 9 point deduction, and then relegation. Even this would (probably) not see the club done.
Administration is not desirable (indeed its terrible), but nor need it be terminal, especially not given the assets the club has.
In this worst case scenario, a buyer will come in, and suppliers will get some money back (albeit not the right amount). Any decent new buyer will then have funds to rebuild. Our debts will be gone, we actually wouldnt necessarily have to have the feared fire sale of every player (though Im sure some would have to go for themselves).
Again, its a nightmare and no fun to support at all, but its survivable.
Id put the odds of administration at about 50/50 currently, it ought to be better than that in our favour, but Im factoring in how shit Moshiri is at everything other than being a front for (REDACTED). Then, if we get a 9 point deduction, I'd then give us a circa 25% chance of staying up.

For what it's worth, according to the Telegraph:
In a further blow, sources close to another interested party – a consortium led by Everton supporters Andy Bell and George Downing – indicated they are not planning to revive their bid to buy out majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.

I think Bell and Downing would have been a disaster in all honesty.

Good summary of the risks associated with the 777 debt:

We’ll be fine, just a short term issue

This is horrendous.
Absolutely dead at this.
Plus seeing this shite on the pitch as well as the twat commentating.
So so horrid.
But Moshiri can lie in his swimming pool sipping martinis without a care in the fucking world.
Sickening.
