Need another 5 at least - RB, RW, LW, CM, and a real 4th choice CB.
Nope
RB, RW and CM yea
Don’t need another CB, and the absolute last thing we need is another left winger
Instead let’s get the above and another RW, and then I’d prob keep my powder dry til Jan and see where we are then

Nah, Ndaiye can play there at a push if we're desperate, or add a recall option to any loan Chermiti goes on.

We don’t need a striker for us, we need a striker so Chermiti can go on loan.
Some journeyman aging striker a la Vardy would be great

Just think if we get two weeks into the season and it becomes apparent neither of the big men can trap a bag of sand or win a flick on it will be a major, major issue.
As it stands Beto is the club's main man, I think we're underestimating how big a challenge that is for him.
Don't see Ndiaye winning flick ons and running the channels tbf.

Agree. Love the fella, but I think he’s easy to play against for many CB pairings in the PL.

Agree that Beto will be under pressure, getting more than 60-70 or of him will be the first challenge.
But I think the finishing of N'Diaye and Dewsbury Hall actually changes that and take the pressure off a bit.
We haven't been finishing our chances for years, but an improving Beto, excellent N'Diaye, keen-eyed KDH and even Alcaraz makes us alot better than last season.
Both Garner and Gueye also look more forward focused, and we also could start using our size at set pieces properly...
All this hopefully means more goals.

I think we’re looking at attacking mids who can hold the ball up so that we don’t have to punt and hope so much.
Get a few players who can hold the ball under pressure, buy the other players time to offer support, create more opportunities to play the ball in behind the defense on the ground (and to cross for overlapping fullbacks), less pressure on the CFs to hold the ball up on an island.

We know from years of Pienaar helping us get up the pitch that that out ball down the line is way more reliable than hitting it to a big man (even a good big man like Fellaini).
Update to unfinished thought: imagine having a Pienaar on both sides.

Think he is the Doucoure replacement. Different attributes but think he'll play the same role.

Nine goals and four assists in a terrible team last season for Vardy.
Amazed nobody has took the punt on him yet.
I reckon at worst he would do the basics that beto and Barry struggle with and make us a better team.
Would bag from the bench as well.

Be great to be able to bring an actual threat off the bench for the last 20 mins

A signing like that will be deadline day I reckon.

We’ve got two strikers who can only play through the middle and (rightly or wrongly) are valued at north of twenty five mil - we’re not signing a third main man.
Somebody like Vardy, Ings or even DCL I can see but not another big buy unless we somehow sell Beto

Isn't Vardy off to the US?
