Haven’t loved a player like this since the days of Piennar, Arteta, Cahill and Yakubu. Great drop of the shoulder, turn of pace, strength and uses his body perfectly. He brings the defender in, slows them down, then dances around them with style and guile.

I know things were turbulent in Marseille, but no idea how this lad bombed over there. I’m sure he’ll frustrate at times but he’s by no means a luxury player. His work rate is on par with his ability with the ball. Think other PL teams will be kicking themselves they didn’t go in for him.

They got greenwood for the money we gave them so they have done very well in the deal too
