Also, anything other than 6 points for Forest and they're going to need to do a lot of explaining regarding why it's different to what we've got.

Was the normal 3 day process I think.
Still interested to see the outcome here as two of the three years for the charge where in the Championship. Be interesting to see if they've based the punishment, whatever it is, on EFL rules for the first 2 years, as their punishments seem to be a lot stricter.

Depends how much they're in breach of the rules and what rules they're applying, PL or EFL or a bit of both, if they're way over what we were they could get a far bigger points deduction.
We've probably inadvertently helped them as our appeal outcome will have a bearing on whatever punishment they get.

I think it's a bit quicker, because now they sort of have a process in place, whereas previously they were pretty much winging it, and also there's a strong desire to get the thing concluded for all parties, to avoid a post-season quagmire of possible deductions/appeals/court battles.

I think that's what I mean. There's been no explanation of "£3.5m per point" even though the appeal document suggests that those EFL guidelines had been a factor in their appeal process. Considering they're scrapping this whole thing and don't need to worry about teams spending frivolous and accepting the 6 point precedent, then it feels like the easiest thing for them to do would be to hand out another 6 point deduction.

Ahh, I honestly can't remember the time frame being honest. I know the appeal seemed to drag on a lot longer than the original 10 points though,felt like it did anyway.

I find it very hard to imagine a scenario where all parties are satisfied and there are no appeals submitted by us or Forest.
If they give Forest more than 6 points they will argue a precedent has been set and they are being unfairly treated. They will surely appeal.
If they give us both another 6 point deduction, Everton can justifiably argue that they shouldn't be docked a full 6 points for something that they've already been punished 2/3rds for.
If they give Forest 6 points and us 2 points (based on the double jeopardy 2/3rds thing), Forest will argue that a precedent of 6 points was set for all infractions and they have been treated unfairly.
If they give us both 2 points, to avoid any appeals being submitted, Everton won't be happy that Forest have got less than their first infraction, and clubs like Luton will be rightly aggrieved that the Prem is ignoring precedent and endangering them.
I can't foresee a scenario where both teams accept their deduction and there's no appeals, which then leads into quagmire after the season ends.

But we have to decide to submit our appeals, if we do, well before we know how many points we'll finish on.
I might just be being blind, but I can't see a scenario where the Prem can give an appropriate amount of points that avoid both/either club(s) submitting an appeal.
Probably the closest to it is giving us both 6 points. So that's my best guess as to what will happen. We won't be happy with that, but they can say ''we've said 6 points for all infractions. Deal with it''.

Surely both teams are going to appeal regardless just in case the deduction takes them down. Might as well have a free hit in having it reduced and surviving
