He's been playing as a deep lying CM so not surprised he's only got a few goals and assists, he'd be in the Garner position not the 10.
Gotta laugh at the idea that you're just gonna find a young player capable of stepping into our team for the free transfer Eriksen would cost, players like that cost £25m+ easily nowadays.
If he's not a fit for Moyes then don't go for him, but given how many players we need to add this summer and our financial situation we're likely gonna sign a couple of veterans on short term deals - it can't all be young exciting players as we can't afford them
He was terrible for United whenever I watched him and they finished below us. Performance wise the current Eriksen wouldn’t be worth 25m+ if he was 20.
Seriously, Garner is better at this point.

I get the point you’re trying to make and I agree with you , honestly I do but… is everything ok?

Looks like Sunderland are getting Habib Diarra.
Think we where loosely linked.
Good signing for them.

Still reckon good old Richard Masters would find some way to punish us and keep letting Chelsea carry on if we where to go down this route.

Found that really interesting about the structure of the Premier League and how they vote and how UEFA want them to change but PL is resisting so that clubs do have options like selling assets to themselves for PSR. Definitely gives PL an unfair advantage over other European clubs imo.

I really can’t wait for the transfer window to open because it’s been the most exciting part of the season (especially the January one, full of hope) for about 20 years for me, but I’m also really, really, really looking forward to the season being the most exciting part of the season again.

We've all said it before but ffp is beyond silly at this point. The punishments are for your accountants failing rather than fairness (it was never that anyway) or even about what you spend
On the women's team you wonder if that's why they now play at goodison. Must bump up the women's team value for when we sell them to ourselves.
Maybe our women's team is worth 200m as well if they come with goodison park

We've been waiting a long time for this both in terms of having many years of decline and lowing spending and just in the sense that we've had a long few months waiting for the season to be over so we can get on with our hopefully brighter future

Yep sell the women's team for extra because it comes with Goodison, but their lease is only 2 years and then after that we sell the stadium to them for another x amount, then down the line sell the stadium for apartments and other accommodation development and find a way to funnel that money back in to the mens team.

The stadium doesn't belong to the women though, so we can't include it in their value.
We can sell it *to* them this year though to help FFP/p&S.
Then next year sell the team to themselves to sort out a better pot for that year.
UEFA really hate that though - so best to get all this jiggery-pokery out of the way before we get a sniff of qualifying and they roll out Collina out of retirement a second time to block us again.

What's goodison worth as a football stadium? Obviously not really a great deal to a woman's team who probably have attendances to fill 5% of it but could we sell it to ourselves for 100m maybe even more? Seems like it's almost anything goes within the boundaries of the discovered loopholes. Like there's zero checks on the value of what you're selling

You don't want a pace merchant who barely touches the ball and only scores goals in the championship?
