Proper buzzing about that. Great move from the Friedkins.

That's fantastic. Looking forward to getting back to support the ladies, and hopefully the stadium tours will keep running now.

It also gives me a chance to take my two youngest (3 and 5) to the ground which was something I was upset that I couldn't do before it went.

They'll get to visit both stadiums now which is great.

Made up Goodison is saved and it's a massive statement of intent for the women's team. The club is pioneering once again.

Like Cozzie, my two little ones are also 5 and 3, and I haven't been able to take them to Goodison, so we'll still have that chance, hopefully.

They saw Goodison from the outside when they came to drop me off for the Ipswich match and have been properly obsessed since - to the extent that the 5-year-old audibly booed a red shite in an ice cream shop the other day and the 3-year-old was singing Spirit of the Blues on the toilet last night!

Massive shame the community hub has been shelved.

That would have provided much needed housing and jobs for a community very much in need.

Also think it takes quite a bit off Sunday as the closure and goodbye Goodison stuff isn’t relevant now as Goodison will still be there having games of football.

From what I’ve read it sounds like they’ve decided not to spend the money needed for the regeneration project so have come up with this.

Not a fan tbh.

Part of me is glad it’s not getting demolished but tend to agree with the last paragraph above

There must be plans to knock the three old stands down though surely, a lot of work will need to be done, not least the toilets. I don’t follow women’s football at all, what is the following like, predominantly female or similar to men’s football?

Cost cutting exercise isn't it.
So be very surprised to hear they're redeveloping it.

I'd imagine we the sell this back to ourselves, surely? If we have half an ounce of competence now then it's going to happen you'd imagine.

Mainly women but more men go than I thought there would.

Lots of kids too.
