Season will ebb and flow and opinions will swing wildly based on results... Mid table after 12 games and with 18 points after beating Man UTD away with 10 men feels pretty good though doesn't it?

Tactical injuries, tactical red cards, nick a goal, give McNeil some minutes, game over. Genuis!

Love what he said about the sending off.
Ref should take his time etc
And that he quite likes his players fighting cos it means they care

I'm happy for him.
I know we've understandably been down on him and his record away to the top teams in the lead up to the game. But I feel like he's just slightly lost some of that fear since he came back and doesn't default to defending and hoping to nick a draw any more. Hopefully tonight validates that braver approach and means it's what we see more of

Fair play, big old monkey off his back there.
One of the two big things I've used to criticise his appointment. He proves he can do that again this season somewhere and it'll just be choking in cups that he needs to prove me wrong on.

Really liking how he's spent his post match interviews praising the players and hasn't really given himself any credit

Not often you can associate Moyes and Dyche for manager of the weekend awards.

Probably because his game plan was out the window after about 10 minutes!

He's at his best when out of options.

He was so happy at full time meant so much to him that win hopefully can push us on now if we can get more consistency there is definitely no reason we can’t finish top half

The game is one for the history books and a big big moment for Moyes. It’s not really so much about the win but much more the manner of it. If any team came to our ground and went a man down after 10 or so minutes and went onto win, we would be fuming. It’s a really rare thing to do, especially given that we weren’t even leading when Gana was sent off.
Before the game I was looking for progress and this was a litmus test of how far we have come. I think that’s now obvious after last night. There is a lot of character and experience in the changing room and they all seem together. Regarding Gana, fights happen all the time in training and in the changing rooms but it’s not often we see it spill out onto the pitch. It was unacceptable, but luckily it didn’t impact the result and we can forget about it and move on.
We have a big opportunity to make serious progress in the league this year. A top half finish should be the target.
