We have much better number 10s imo that would give us a significantly greater chance of winning under any other manager
Yeah, but yeno, Dyche is the manager.

Selling Doucoure january would be a horrendous idea.

Haven't won a game without him for about three years

We've not had many managers that change their plans to suit players strengths (one of the main reasons we've been rubbish). But Doucoure seems to enable our current plan; despite his main purpose seemingly being a method of giving the ball away.

Since the beginning of last season hes played in 85% of our games, so chances are he will be present in a majority of the wins, but hes also played in 28 games in that period we didnt win! Maybe, we would have won some of those if we gave someone with a bit more ability the opportunities he has been given, plus a bit more focus on ball retention as opposed to being happy with 30% possession and filling the team with runners, rather than footballers?
Its not likely under Dyche, which is why players with such limited ability are focal points of the team, which is pretty damning.

Horrendous again. If he’s not scoring he’s adding nothing, and worse than that he actively detracts from anything good we’re doing. Get him out of the starting ImageImage for the love of god.

In terms of technical ability, one of the worst players I've seen at Everton. Horrible. Shouldn't start again this season.

One of too many players to have shocking deficiencies in their game.

McNeil and Garner being out has been huge.

Been absolutely massive for us on many occasions and has as much to do with us still being in the league as anyone.

Says everything about the criminal neglect of our financial situation that he’s still an important option.

We might’ve just about gotten our money’s worth here which is actually huge for a Moshiri-era signing but this hasn’t gone too differently from what I expected when I was bitching about signing him and Allan on the old forum. Maybe it’s okay or even good (if you’re lucky) for awhile but that money evaporated the second we spent it which makes acquiring a good midfielder to replace him a much harder task.

Here’s to Moyes and Thelwell understanding player value (I hope).

Try and press up the pitch without him and the team will go to complete bits.

Suuuuurely there's a way to find a premier league level player who can run, recover the ball, win headers, and press.

It's why he'll start against Spurs, Arsenal caused them all sorts of problems with an aggressive press so unfortunately he'll be one of the first names on the team sheet for Sunday.

He does an important job without the ball even if his work with it is often frustrating.

For an experienced player, he should know better than to square that ball instead of trying to hold onto it and making them win it back in the corner. I’m not saying their second goal definitely doesn’t happen, we already looked a bit ropey, but if he keeps his head there, they would’ve had to work harder to advance it into our third.
