Ha ha, it was in response to Weinmaras post, the one before mine, I should have quoted.

Hadn’t realised that James Vaughan was our Head Of Academy Recruitment and Player Pathway, leaving by mutual consent now, this was a lazy appointment from Tranmere three years ago, think TFG aiming at better than this !

It’s an opinion, but if you think Moshiri lot scoured the planet for the best person to manage academy recruitment and came up with a league two fella from Birkenhead does not have a tinge of convenient/affordable/lazy recruitment then fine.

Probably was a bit lazy, but he at least had gone through getting qualifications for the role and had previous evidence of working it at Tranmere. No doubt the Everton connection was a big part in him getting the job though. Difficult to know with that role whether someone was successful, doesn't matter what loan you choose if the player isn't up to the quality.
Worst was when Stubbs left the youth team and we hired Unsworth to replace him. Peak jobs for the boys that one.

Nothing against the lad and wish him well but his previous experience at Tranmere lasted 6 months, difficult to judge how effective he could have been over such a short period.

I'll not be sad to see a lot of these players go. I don't even necessarily dislike them but many are just not good enough for this level of football. We played Beto, Doucoure and Harrison at Anfield tonight, that's never going to cut it long-term.

Vaughan did well at Tranmere and brought some innovative ideas about full player wellbeing care that had him talked about with very nice things said about him. When that’s in place, things like lives in the area and knows the club seem less like laziness and more like common sense.

Categorically need to see the back of Doucoure now.
He's becoming a hindrance.

I don't even understand why he's even playing. He's off in the summer. Give his minutes to someone who's either going to be here, or we need to have a look at to see what they can offer.

I can't wait to potentially have some players who can actually pass a ball

We win more games with him than without so the manager picks him
