Might be reading too much into this, but it just dawned on me.
The tweet says nobody "DID" it better than Gueye.
Should say "Does" really.
Maybe I'm over thinking it because I seriously hope we keep him but I just hope that isn't a goodbye tweet.

I picked up on that, but decided I wanted to believe its just because its referencing this past season only and nothing can change the past.

Would have been much bigger fanfare if he was going imo

It would be a big mistake to let him go. The club must know that and so I can’t believe that he wouldn’t be given a new deal.
I have a suspicion that Keane will also stay. It’s not ideal but given the amount of work we need to do this summer, it’s one less thing to worry about.

I think anyone getting released would have been announced by now.

I think "the ball is in his court" now.
We wouldn't have set a deadline to accept it.
I'm just hoping we've not tried to save a few pennies here and there and given him a competitive offer that will match what else is out there.

He'll sign. Not worried. Loves the club, and Moyes will be well aware how important he is.

BREAKING! - Everton and Idrissa Gueye are closing in on an agreement to sign a new contract. Gueye is keen to stay at Everto and an agreement is now at the final stages.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Go and get him a top partner who can sit, cover the gaps he leaves, and play the ball forward.

I was all for that the previous three seasons if it was cheap. Would be disappointed if he was our main midfield signing though. Need some quality on the ball in the middle. (I also realise you were joking).

Most important one we will make this summer.
Still an absolute machine.
