£72 grand a week to stink the place out, that’s £3.7 million over the next 12 months, surely some stupid fucker would pay £4 million for him and then at least we get his locker key back.

Keane and Holgate won’t make it to bramley Moore at least. Another loan for Holgate and 4th choice for Keane should do the job. Need another CB now and I’d be very happy with either of the two main links

Ive said it before and i'll say it again, whoever sanctioned giving him a 5 year deal at 72k a week is an absolute disgrace

Seen people say thats the going rate for a good prospect buy I heard the other day that only 3 players at Brentford are on more than 50 a week
Terrified to make a decision. Terrified to get 1 wrong so we get them all wrong by never insisting on value

Think it was Carlo. Although it would have been whoever was on the board at the time.

It was under Ancelotti.

Ancellotti and brands. I don't think it's any individual though. It's the culture. We aren't a selling club. We don't lose our top young players. All sense goes and we give them whatever
What was the fullback called who àncelotti had never heard of. He was earning 27k a week while on loan in league 1

It wasn't a bad deal at the time. He was still a young prospect, did well under Ancelotti, think he only had a couple of years left on his deal and at one point was linked with City, if his career had carried on in the direction it looked like it was going it would have been fine and we'd have either had a decent defender or sold him for decent money.
Unfortunately for one reason or another things didn't work out for him but he isn't the first young player we've managed to ruin over the last few years.

Yeah if we aren't tying young players down then we are doing it wrong. Hasn't worked out in many cases but I think Everton is the common denominator

Absolutely bombed there hasn't he.
Just for the sake of discussion. Would anyone have him back?
I wouldn't but he was a decent enough utility player.

Nope. Was told there was good reason clubs like Dortmund and Atalanta were in for him and he was actually a good player. Wouldn't want to hold him back here.

Strange they signed him. All of their players look comfortable on the ball.
