Might have been mate I remember it as his left ? It came across him squared from the the centre along the ground he was at the Goodson rd side of the box… whichever foot it was pure class…

Better angle here on the third replay with the camera shot behind, you can see how laid back the finish is.

Speaking of utd…another memorable moment was being 3-0 down at half time and everyone booing the team looked like we were going to get battered as they scored their third 2 lads stomped down the park end and threw their season tickets on the pitch….we came out the second Half and got it back to 3-3 ha ha only for nistlehorse head to Nick the winner after about 6 minutes (seemed like) of 4 mins added time !

Horrible, horrible game that.

Can you remember how much over the “allotted” time the ref played it seemed like he was just waiting for them to score again….

Pienaar, Cahill and Arteta on the score sheet.
Enough to make you weep with nostalgia

Think this was the game why I've always disliked C.Ronaldo.

I cried in the car on the way home from that. I was 15 and i had had a ST for 8 years at this point, but the swing in emotions throughout the match just took it out of me.

I was so upset hahahahah

That season in general was horrid.

The worst of my lifetime. At least the last couple of years has produced some great games and moments.

That season had nothing.

Another horrible horrible game I can remember Panathinaikos at home 1971 I think it was….0-0 draw away first leg….at home it was like watching a game of 3 and in…we played the game around their box…and batttered them for about 80 mins and they had 1 break and scored 0-1 then we scored to make it 1-1 in the 90th minute…they went through on the away goal rule.

The 1-1 Goodison game was the 1st leg; I think we had 29 corners?!; David Johnson scored with the very last kick of the match to equalise on 90 minutes

A game of 9s:

Played on 9th March; they took the lead at 9pm; 9 mins from time (81st minute/8+1=9); scored by their number 9; his 9th goal of the tournament

Horrible match that. I had an obstructed view of the Park End goal and I think barely saw any of the first 6 goals, had a great view of RVNs winner though ffs.

Horrendous ice cold wind blowing round Goodison all the way through, and then the boat back to the Isle of Man was cancelled because of that wind. Just an all round horrible day.
