Still think he'd do well with Patterson behind, and one of Garner/Gana/Mangala beside in midfield.
Triangles, overlapping movement, attacking the space, good speed and outballs galore. Probably Beto up front to run on to throughballs.
Defensively perhaps a little weak, but really put in some strong effort last game,... more impressed than I had been with him so far.

We already have an option to buy, right?
Still plenty of time for it to go wrong but he looks like a perfect Moyes attacking midfielder and I can’t be bothered with a protracted saga to add him permanently in the summer.

Nailed on starter for me, massively surprised by the lad. Ideal scenario when fit is him, Mc Neil and Ndiaye swapping in the forward 3 with Doucoure on the bench

Yeah, about £20m and a four year deal I think it was.
Said before a thought technically he looks good but a bit lightweight but he's actually pretty good at protecting the ball and winning it back using his strength.
I like him.

Yeah, don’t think there’s anything about his play that screams lightweight these past two matches. Maybe that’ll change with the competition, who knows.
He’s got a bit of bite in the tackle that he hadn’t shown at all under Dyche.

He kind of reminds me of Landon Donovan a bit.
Nothing flashy but he knows how to move without the ball and use his first touch to open up a bit of space or an angle to cross and he strikes the ball cleanly.

Looks good. Good first touch and control, has a good technique on the ball too.

Good athlete too.
Quick, good leap on him, stronger than his build suggests.

Very good today. Excited how he gets when fully confident

Just needs to add some goals in the mix. Obviously a good player.

There's a cracking player in there and today was the first time that it really came out consistently. As others have said he feels like a perfect Moyes type player, and sounds like Moyes was already a big fan of his before he got here.

Best game by a mile. Can't be a coincidence he's being coached properly

I don't really remember him taking many free kicks or the team getting him in positions to cross, before the change in manager.
Strange because it's a real strength of his, and Moyes has instantly utilised that. Must have been very frustrating for Lindstrom under Dyche.
Unused talent (for those familiar with the 8 wastes)

Hopefully we get to see more of the kind of performances that made him stand out at Eintracht Frankfurt and convince Napoli to spend 30m euros on him.
Still very early days but Moyes had that ability before from time to time for bringing in talented players like Pienaar and Arteta who had struggled at their previous clubs and help develop them into quality players. Maybe he can do it again for some of these players
