This is what I’ve been saying all along with Southgate.
He’s left a lot in the tank for when it’s been needed most.
He knows how to build his way through a tournament and his record can’t be doubted now.
Deserves a lot of credit.

What a moment for the lad.
Brilliant finish.
Sir Keir starmer, you have our permission to grant us a bank holiday.
When England''s mens team, won the World Cup in 66, it was under a Labour government.

Not to be a downer but just find it hard to take this England team making the final being such an achievement. The players are as good as any in the tournament and even then they've had the luck against Slovakia and Switzerland. Fair play but this isn't a non-league side in the final of the FA Cup.
I think we were pre tournament favourites, so it's not an achievement in that sense, but it is an achievement when you consider how shit we were set up and played for the first few games

A minute away from going out against Slovakia was criminal and he got very fucking lucky that Bellingham did what he did... But you can't argue with him getting to 2 finals in 3 tournaments. Means very little if we don't win it though and I'm not even remotely convinced we have much of a chance.
Hope Southgate can prove me wrong one last time

Christine Lampard on Loose Women today, predicted England would win 2-1 in normal time - maybe the wrong Lampard is going for the manager's jobs?
To clarify, I watch that programme with my mum as she is having her lunch.

There's a lot of very proud people in Exeter tonight for Ollie Watkins, me included. What a story and what a player.

I mean I'm not arsed how we do it.
England have been a let down constantly throughout my life.
The squad is full of likeable lads. I want them to do well.
I'm made up.

Hard to argue against any of that.
They have played nobody off any substance whatsoever, apart from the first half tonight played turgid football from the start of the tournament and rode their luck culminating in the ludicrous penalty tonight.
They will more than have their hands full in the final, but they have the players that can win it and if they do then they will deserve buckets of credit for that

Can't see us doing Spain, but it's 11 v 11, anything can happen.

Much better interview from Bellingham as well. Much more self-reflective and less defensive.
