Takes two parties to agree a deal. Like everything else in football the transfer window favours the players. Most of our deals will be concluded in the last day/hours.

I expect us to bring in a few between now and before departing to the US tour. We'll be active right up until the window closes.

No idea how this Kubo rumour started, nothing from any of the usual sources, just a reference to him on one of the other forums seems to have given life to it, a quick Google comes up with nothing related to us ?

Unfortunately I think we’re waiting for the domino effect to kick in.

With the over-inflated FIFA Club World Cup still going on until Sunday, I think we won’t see significant movement until after that.

The big clubs are the ones that can afford to strengthen and once the FCWC is over we are likely to see some of the first dominoes toppling, resulting in increased movements everywhere else. Especially for clubs like us who are looking for good loan deals or good players who struggle to get into first elevens.

If I’m right we won’t see much until the last two weeks of the month.

You would think Chelsea would be under pressure to sell they must have 50 players on the books

I think that they will be trying to sell for good prices as they have young talent on the books not dross, but clubs will be trying to either low ball them or get loans as they know Chelsea don't need the players - it's a recipe for negotiations dragging on due to brinkmanship
