What baffles me is the appeal for this is the 25 may after the season is over if we get point:points back it could send some other team down the whole thing stinks
Honestly don’t see the point in appealing, we have seen the rationale for the two points, we have nothing further to offer in mitigation, would rather know before tge end of the season if we have been relegated or not, not sometime middle of June.

I'd say waive the appeal if they agree to leave us alone for the rest of the 22-23 season accounting.

Definitely appeal, if only to show up the Premier League for this whole charade.
Quite annoyed we've used the word 'pleased' again in our statement tbh.

Honestly, I think the only reason we are appealing is because Forest is. If we were 10 clear and no fear of being relegated I think we would just accept it and move on.
Forest appealing means they could get any amount of points back so if it is us or them at the end of the season it may come down to an appeal. We need to keep our foot in the door just in case it comes down to that where an appeal will give us a chance once the matches have ended.
It’s a shame we can’t appeal the first deduction again. I’m certain we could get that reduced to 4 points based on Forest’s punishment.

The forrest forum is in full on melt down, they think it's a stitch up against them and that we deserve 8 points for this breach but we are the premier league darlings and are getting preferential treatment, fucking clowns them lot

At least we know where we stand now, assuming that no appeal could bring a bigger deduction. We knew we were getting another deduction so one being the best case, two is nearly as good as it gets. It's all in our hands now, the games against Forest, Brentford, Luton and Sheff Utd are massive, the rest are free hits but we need to fancy our chances at Chelsea given how poor they've been.

There's ANOTHER hearing??
Simon Stone
BBC Sport
A couple of points have come to light within the written reasons for the case.
The Premier League believed Everton were ‘reckless’ in their spending and felt the starting point for their behaviour was a five-point deduction.
Also, in the notes, it appears this case might not be finished.
As the decision records, there remains a dispute between the Premier League and the club as to the status of certain costs that the club says are associated with its stadium construction.
The league considers that these costs fall to be considered as a loss for the purposes of the PSRs.
The club contends that these costs are not losses, given that they relate to the construction of the stadium and have been capitalised in their audited accounts.
This issue, and the question of whether any additional sanction should be applied, will be resolved by the same Commission at a later date.
Basically - the league think the stadium should count as a loss. Everton say it's audited in their stadium accounts and not a loss.
It could lead to a further deduction, although that would not apply this season.

Are they stupid? We've barely exceeded their latest breach when combining both of our charges

Maybe we've been honest, like Forrest... would be nice to see how they calculate the punishment

Our combined breach is around £35m for two periods, Forest's was around £35m for one period but we got double the points deduction, I would say it's them that have come out of it better.
