Yeah.
I've loved his time here but we massively need to move on from him now.
Been a great signing though.

Where does Armstrong come into the conversation? I’ve only seen a couple of glimpses. Is he anything like a profile of player that could kick on in Doucoure’s position?

Not from what little I've seen of him. He doesn't impose himself on games at this level and looks a bit lost on the pitch.
He's only young though so I'm not criticising him, just maybe he's 2-3 years at least away from being a starter at this level. Needs a couple of loans to get experience in the meantime imo.

I’ve only seen him on highlights really and he looked good, got back and defended and got forward and played the ball forward too. Didn’t look out of place. But, you know - highlights, innit?

The assist in the cup game definitely shows why he's highly rated and doing well at youth level, but I've not seen much in the Premier League matches he's had minutes in that make him look like he's close to being ready.
It'd be lovely to have one of our youth lads come through though so I'm rooting for him, just think he is a few years and a couple of good loans away from having a proper chance.

The Douc will be reborn under Moyes

Armstrong is no where near a replacement for what Doucoure does do but from what I’ve seen he looks really promising

If you’re talking about youth/potential then Iroegbunam is the natural replacement. Similar ability to cover ground but stronger technically.

Id argue it’s actually Joelington who is the Doucouré with technique - massively underrated player

Oh the duke.
When he’s like this he’s unstoppable. Not a player like him in the league.

Slightly niche stat, but fastest ever goal scored at home in the PL apparently. 4th fastest overall. Fastest goal Everton have ever scored.
Not a bad day for him.

I normally leave the Winslow at 3 on the dot (in the family enclosure so no ale in there - don't want to be in the ground longer than I have to hahaha).
This is the first goal I've missed due to that in nearly a decade of sitting there
(Missed a few in the LG trying to get a pint at kick off and it taking 10 minutes though)
