Maupay couldn't score and didn't hold the ball up, or cause problems.

Atleast beto threw himself about it and caused some head aches for the back four.

Shame he came off, Dom offered nothing in them last 20.

He grafted his balls off, showed more positional nous than Lewin has all season, criminal taking him off, cost us dear.

A run of games would definitely help him, he's been bit-part so far.

Never had a run of starting games has he? I think that’s what he needs - that & a couple of goals. A confidence boost will improve his finishing.

Yes - unfair on him to shoulder the blame

Head up

Should shoulder the blame as equally as anyone else who misses two huge chances.

Scores either of those and we probably win the game, and so he's every bit as complicit and others have been.

It was his best performance in an Everton shirt, no doubt about that though.

The one fucking game that we get a penalty and Dom is bench warming, Everton that !

Seems to be able to find himself more presentable chances than Dom seems to for whatever reason, even if he usually misses them

Law of averages would suggest he will convert some of them and has bagged like 3 I think since DCL last scored?Newcastle, Fulham and West Ham?

Hes certainly got an argument to be starting

His goals per minutes ratio must be pretty good this season.

I'd carry on starting him for now.

Takes the pressure off Dom also.

Yeah he’s 1 in 3 which is what you want from your striker.

Sorry, Dom, on the bench for you.

Definitely, 20 games without a goal; Beto needs a run of games, United coming up, and then three weeks without a game for us?

Did well again I thought.

Lost any threat we did have when he came off.

We should have dropped Douc back into midfield, took Garner off or Onana because he was on a yellow. Beto playing off DCL for knock downs would have caused more problems than DCL all on his own as usual
