Fully appreciate the result means nothing, most part of the game we just had a bunch of kids out there but hopefully for the Coventry game we start to see something more resembling a team that we might want to start the season with, latest for the PNE game we should see an almost fil strength team.

We're always dreadful in pre-season, and we always look undercooked at the start of the season.

I mean it was basically an U23 team (minus Garner and Maupay) after 60 minutes when we were 1-0 up.

The game was poor all round. The worrying thing is the lack of any quality coming through bar the odd one or two. Made me remember when liverpool fielded their second team and smashed us all over the park. Keeping our best 14 fit is essential. Good to see Maupay giving his best efforts

What would the CO2 emissions be if overseas fans were to travel in the opposite direction? Not that they all do of course but I'd wager a significant number do to get their footy fix throughout the year.
A handful of flights from a handful of clubs and local supporters once a year would surely be dwarfed by what must be thousands in the opposite direction?
The net impact would surely be in favour of the clubs doing the flying, rather than the other way around.
I'm all for fixture reduction, if the Nation's League were to disappear that'd also wipe out a heap of CO2 production.

There were 2 of those infamous 'gaffer's day's' last week apparently. He only usually does 1. Poor bastards.

May explain why they seemed so leggy against Salford last weekend
