There always seems to be a promoted team who go wild in the aisle, then all these new players hate each other, the existing squad resent them, and it ends in beautiful beautiful disaster.JoelW7 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 4:46 pm Can't help but look at Sunderland and be a bit envious of the players they're looking to bring in; Diarra in and now close to Talbi from Club Brugge (20 year old winger, saw him couple times in champions league looked good) as well as Lauriente from Sassuolo (30 goals in 98 from the wing)
Those last two in particular fit the profile for young, quick and direct wingers. Really hope we don't end up with Harrison again....
Yes it fucking is.Sir Stealth wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 5:59 pm Gana and Luiz centre mid, Ndiaye, Alcaraz and Kubo as the attacking midfield 3 behind Big Bad Baz up top, is that the dream?
I believe so. But to be honest despite what some Journos have said only the club themselves will know what the budget is.UnsyisaRhino wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 6:26 pm Can we afford both and Barry?
I know we're out of the worst of the PSR stuff but bringing in multiple 25-30 mill players feels scary.
I think I have PSR PTSD.
Gana, Garner, Ndiaye, Alcaraz, Harrison, Beto.Sir Stealth wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 5:59 pm Gana and Luiz centre mid, Ndiaye, Alcaraz and Kubo as the attacking midfield 3 behind Big Bad Baz up top, is that the dream?
I do think we can probably eat what looks like £100-120m this year. The one difference between this spending and the last, is *most* of the players linked would be able to be sold again if it doesn't work out (and actually look to be filling a hole, as opposed to just being available and willing)UnsyisaRhino wrote: ↑Mon Jul 07, 2025 6:26 pm Can we afford both and Barry?

Except in Jan, when we swap out Gana for Iroegbunam and Ndiaye for Richarlison due to AFCON
