Not a defence of dyche because who knows how much input he has in it but recruitment continues to be shocking. Think our dof is still getting off lightly

This is good. This is what we want. This is the modern way of playing.

But it’s kind of a problem as well as we’ve become so easy to play through once that press is beat.
It's what we want, but also massively flawed when 2 of your high back line are Keane and Young.

And we don't really have a sitting midfielder so get caught with both CMs too high.

Gives me hope we will see better results once Branthwaite is back and if Mangala can be more disciplined than either Tim or Gana.

I disagree, think he is doing pretty well considering the restrictions.

Dyche should have little or no say in transfers isn’t that what got us into this mess allowing managers to bring in their own players then getting sacked then rinse and repeat thelwell has done ok for me considering he is operating with the handbrake up

I'd have to see the list but beto, maupay and o brien. That's about 55m there. Ali VDB Danjuma looks like the guy from napoli might be a flop
Where's the bloody right back

Has he had 1 big success

I mean Danjuma might have been sound. Dyche refused to play him.

We paid nothing for Dele Alli aside from wages. Van de Beek was a short term loan for cover.

Writing off O'brien and Lindstrom is so dumb it's unreal.

Dele and VDB were both signed a month before Thelwell was at the club

He got Tarkowski on a free, who’s been instrumental for us. He brought Gana back. He got Onana in and made a quick profit on him. He’s not paid big or silly money for anyone. I think he’s doing ok. I would like to see more of the Chermitis, O’Briens and Ndiayes come good, of course, but he’s offloaded some shite too.

Needs to do more to positively impact the first eleven but also has done ok.

What's the point of signing players the manager won't play. Ali cost us nowt but 12.5m in wages for absolutely nothing. I'd imagine VDB was 100k a week plus a loan fee. Who are the successes. Tarkowski seems to be the only 1.

I do think in defence of the recruitment now maybe we are just at the point where beto and random loans are the best we can do because 99% of it is whoever we can get on tick

We don't ever seem to be in a position to even attempt to sign what we need. We are desperate for pace and we renewed 2 full backs who should be retired and signed 3 wide players who aren't quick. Maybe it's on the state of the club rather than the recruitment but we seem to just be constantly committing to players just because they are extra bodies rather than with a long term plan

There’s no point in over analysing our recruitment.

It’s very much see who we can get on the drip or on loan.

It's the cup tomorrow, think we win easy without the pressure if another league defeat hanging over the team.
