It's roughly 50.78% of football based discussion guff these days, that's if you pro rata it over a 8 year amortisation period.

Compared to some of the windows we've had over the past few years it was a massive step in the right direction.

I had my frustrations with the window, I think partly I have to own that and say - I was worried and anxious and that colours my views at times.

But also I think Dibbling and Rohl and 3 wins in a week have gone some way to colour it the other way right!

Before Leeds sky did a segment on our squad needing 3-4 more, moyes said similar, and then after it things felt really rough. Since then we've brought in Dibling and Rohl, both good buys imo but maybe not the exact type of players we'd all have said we need? (Pacey RW, 6, RB).

But a couple of wins and the jack Grealish show definitely helps things.

We needed to get younger, more athletic and better...and I *think* we've managed that. Barry, Aznou and Dibbling are definitely 'projects' and we will need to be patient and could end up top players all of them, but how many of our issues they resolved today I don't know.

Grealish and KDH are plug and play, they've raised the level for sure. I think in time the rose tints will fade on KDD but he does look at have a good understanding with Grealish so long may that continue.

Special mention re Grealish who obviously looks like a complete alien and had brought us that most important thing - excitement. I cannot wait to watch this boy play again.

Röhl, who knows but I like the look of him. And Moyes like his big tall CM boys doesn't he.

Very happy to have kept Gueye and Branthwaite on new contracts. Long term replacements for both now moving towards the top of the list of priorities.

When it comes to the renewed contracts it looks like Coleman kept his salary in the new contract (55K p/w), the same with Gueye (120K p/W) while Keane had to lower his wage demand from 80K to 70K p/w and Branthwaite went from 35K to 120K p/w. Thats quite a good reward for his performances I would say.

I have a horrible feeling that Branthwaite is made of glass, haven’t all of his injuries occurred in training ?
Missed 21 games last season, all 4 this season so far with nobody knows how many more.

A lot of talk about how we seem to have come on leaps and bounds from a recruitment point of view. Ditto commercial.

The real test will come when we start to sell players - if we can get that right next summer then i will truly start to believe.

We've had a sensational window imo, and I don't recognise the club from 12 months ago.

I'm still very happy for us to aim for a top 10 finish, and that will be great. If we do any better, sound.

Don't think you can overstate the value of bringing David Moyes back. He's a good manager at other clubs but due to some intangible, unknowable chemistry in the universe, he's a superb Everton manager.

Net spend only matters for the BBC when they are talking about Liverpool.

We've gone from Jack Harrison to Jack Grealish. Like, fucking hell.

The overall window appears to have been good.

Grealish of course was an enormous coup and I imagine KDH will be a key player for us.

Some players like Barry, Dibling and Aznou have potential and should hopefully be great players for us. I don’t know much about Rohl but still good we have someone for the midfield while I’m also happy Alcaraz was signed, he gives us another option and shows he can come up with goals.

Ideally another fullback would have been good to have, I really hope by next season we have a good long term replacement sorted once and for all there.

Hope and pray we don’t pick up too many injuries as we are still quite light in some areas but certainly has progressed in the right direction

Rohl needs to go in the same bracket as Barry surely? They'll be the same age next month

7/10 window for me. Some great signings and departures, but a few things that could have been better:

- no specialist right back obviously, but there are capable bodies in the meantime
- right winger strategy seems to have flip flopped, time will tell
- defensive midfield cover is missing, may be the Jan priority
- thin on the ground for centre forward depth and style, doesn't leave much by way of tactical variety
- moves still happening late in the window, that Leeds result could have been transformed

Just read that Josh Brownhill rejected us, Leeds and Wolves to sign a £100k pw deal in Saudi

Would’ve been handy but not for what Saudi clubs are paying.

Another example of how difficult the market it is, when Josh Brownhill can command that kind of wage!

To be fair to him, 24 goals + assists predominantly from defensive midfield, if he had played for Brescia rather than Burnley he'd be being raved about. 100k isn't much these days (sad to say).
