The issue for me with Lindstrom is that he's probably better in a position we have better players in already, so buying him and using him wide will just give us what we have now and that's poor overall. Not suited to this league, a bit like Bernard

It’s not even a Lindstrom or nothing type scenario. I’d imagine we’re gonna try and max out our loan allocation so I’m sure that there’s 2 players out there that will contribute more than Harrison and Lindstrom for a similar outlay.

For me he was worth a punt on loan but it’s not worked out. He’s likeable so I wish him well.

I don't even know why lindstom is even a conversation especially at the try before we buy price of 16m. We tried, he's been pretty terrible so no one else will pay the 16m.

He'll either be on loan again next season for an even cheaper loan fee or they'll take much less than 16m to get shut.

Honestly he's been poor. Be very disappointed if we are still signing players just because they are a warm body. Least have a punt on someone who's not already a failed punt here

I think saying hes been terrible is very harsh.

You can only really judge him since Moyes came in because whatever everyone was doing under Dyche is beyond analysis.

Hes been fine. Another loan as cover would be decent for me. Think hes been unlucky in a few games not to get a goal. He needs more assists 100% but hes been fine.

Don't think they'll let us do that bud.

Hes not been good under moyes either. Couple of decent performances but still largely poor. That's even before we look at his assists and goal numbers which are an absolute shocker and for much longer than his time here.

The odd thing about us taking Lindstrom is he's such a different player profile to the likes of Gnonto and Minteh.

We'll have to wait and see what recruitment looks like post-Thelwell, and if they're looking for a player who has no end product but a nice smile.

IIRC we were after a certain type of player ie. Gnonto and Minteh and then TFG pulled out of negotiations and we then ended up with bargain basement whatever we could get players like Lindstøm, then the Crystal Palace guy showed up and we got Jake and Mangala.

27yr old centre back

Rather we were spending that kind of money on attacking players…

Yeah, doubt there is fuck all in this one, although he also is adept at playing LB.

Like to think we'd go for a more natural LB for next season though.

Moyes is prepared to break the mold. False 9’s, 6’s, 4’s, 5’s, etc.

Can’t wait to roll out the false 1 formation.
