It's not.
It's an appeals panel sitting specifically to adjudicate whether the punishment was in line with the breach.

Hence why the panels language in our review spoke in terms f reductions and disagreeing with part of the originals findings.
Also why Forests didnt say "we think it deserves a 4 point sanction" and instead said "your arguments as to why 4 was harsh aren't sufficient"

So far, the only hint about higher punishments have been people talking about the red-card situation and then making assumptions/guessing.
We were told explicitly after the first breach that there was no chance of an increased punishment

Look, I think it’s fair to say people were rightfully worried about potential points increases, because this fucking shower of twats have clearly been making it all up as they go along.

With such lack of clarity, logic and accountability, it’s not a leap to say that increased sanctions were never on the cards.

Nah, it's just pointless pursuing it. There was never any remote suggestion that it would either be increased, or suspended until next season. Both our recent punishment and Forest's already had any potential appeals factored into them, which is why the points deductions were lower.

Probably makes sense, it's highly unlikely we'll finish any higher and we're only going to drop one more place at worst. Plus it might carry a bit of favour next season when we've toed the line this year.

Yeah there's no real point spending the money on an appeal when there's little to nothing to be gained
