I don’t think it was clear if there was a tiny touch if it came off the Croatian player. The defender jumped with his hand in the air, could it have brushed his hand slightly instead? The reverse angle didn’t seem clear but maybe they’ll show a better one.
I doubt either side beat Spain though.

What ever happened to the ABBA penalties?
When was that?
Did they just scrap it after one tournament?
Also, remember that little ref who stood by the goal? Why did that come in randomly then disappear.
Just found out by chance.
ABBA was apparently canned for 2018 as the stats showed that neither going first nor last affected outcome - instead that the conversions converged to essentially 50/50 with increasing numbers taken. There was a study that shows it to be so.
Don't know what happened to the ref.

Apathetic about life at the moment
And it's hard to be loving football when they are bringing in shite like snicko.
How many beautiful moments will this over the top surgical analysis of every single thing, ruin??
Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic hit out at VAR in his post-match press conference.
"It kills the emotions. It kills everything within you. It kills what you are experiencing and then brings you back to the beginning. And it's not easy to deal with all of this. Football should be fair, and the decisions should be such, but we've gone on too far about VAR."

Thanks.
It’s weird how they bring these little things in then just scrap them.
Half the new rules we’ve seen at this World Cup will be gone and in ten years we’ll be saying ‘remember when they did that”
Seems to be an appetite to make the game better at international level that doesn’t translate to the club game.

Just like Claudio Ranieri - tinkering away....they could leave it couldn't they.
Although in saying that I do like the some of the changes re time wasting and diving, but not sure how any flow-on might impact us next season...

Will be 4am here, alarms set.
Got to play Mo Toure up front I think, have more possession, and play more expansive. Take it to them.
(Jordy Bos to Everton - the next Tim Cahill.
David, get your things together and get him signed up already)
