Liam delap must be worth a look no?

Reportedly has a £40M relegation release clause though, not sure.

12 in 30 for Ipswich and only 22.

An inevitable link with Delap, and not from the strongest of sources

I hated he way Tarks could bully him when we played them, made him look like a bag of shite. His goal return has been decent though and maybe a Moyes type player... Wouldn't want to spend £40m on him though, that's way too much.

Wouldn't want to risk 40m on delap. He's been largely shite before this season. Think he'd be quite a high risk signing

Just kinda comes across as a Moyes type player.

Even if we don't get him I hope it's the type of profile of player we are looking at

Spending big money on him would be absolutely foolish. May as well get Moshiri back.

Yep £40m for a player with one half decent season in the Premier League is incredibly foolish.

Either need a pretty much guaranteed bags man if spending that amount or buy someone with lots of potential for a lot less that has a potential £40m+ price tag down the line if we plan to flip for profit.

Delap has done well this season, and the few games I've watched of Ipswich he did carry a threat based on a pretty limited attack. Hard to say he can repeat that or build on it mind you.

Maybe I'm out of sync, but for a striker...40 million isn't crazy money is it? I mean they bought him from Man City for 20 mil and now he's got more of a track record. Maybe you'd say 30-35 and a few add ons but it doesn't seem astronomical especially as he's English and gets that price bump. We rolled the dice on an untested in the PL Beto for 25 too.

Seems like Man United and Chelsea are interested however, so we probably don't have to worry about it too much.
