Fairly certain that was all sorted when Friedkin had the initial exclusivity period. Paid them off before running aground with the Leadenhall disputeEscalator wrote:Don’t we owe them £ fifty million ?
Again, a slightly negative take on it, but I'm not sure we will get either brains or emotion with this deal, in fact it's almost like their lack of brains sent then down the big Dunc route cause of the emotion of the fans, then it spiralled down hill from therePaddockoldie wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 7:32 am I'd rather have people help run the club with brains over emotion. KenWright couldn't see through his tinted glasses, like the doting parent who can't see they're harming their child because they believe they love them too much to do that.
Think you give kenwright way too much credit. He loved owning everton way more than he loved everton. He didn't mind harming the club if it allowed him to cling to power. Saddled us with expensive loans, lied about funding for a great stadium, lied about the quality of an awful stadium, didn't invest a single penny. This wasn't a man that loved us too muchPaddockoldie wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 7:32 am I'd rather have people help run the club with brains over emotion. What’s this about the Friedkins going down the Big Dunk route ?Raptor wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 9:09 am Again, a slightly negative take on it, but I'm not sure we will get either brains or emotion with this deal, in fact it's almost like their lack of brains sent then down the big Dunc route cause of the emotion of the fans, then it spiralled down hill from there
I think it's more a mixture of both. He was an Evertonian for sure. Much more than a businessman anyway777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 9:16 am Think you give kenwright way too much credit. Maybe i`m being a pessimist but it just seems odd to me ,i know they say no news is good news but ,and i know i`m stating the obvious but change is needed at Everton FC and the sooner it can be started the better
Plus another factor is my son is a Forest fan ,so is my eldest daughters partner and to top it all off my son in law is red

A fucking big one like coming from that turd.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 6:40 am Simon Jordan saying it’s done. So take that with as much salt as you like.
That’s not the case at all. The FA, PL and FCA all have to approve the purchase. They cant outright block it but they do have to approve it. There are set criteria the purchasers have to meet. Once they have shown they can meet those criteria then the approvals will be given. FCA is about providing credit facilities to consumers. (Season tickets etc) and possibly money laundering checks. The FA approve them to be directors in English football and then the premier league approve the purchase based on meeting set criteria. Those normally are background checks and making sure certain types of convictions aren’t present. Funding for the purchase and funding for a period of time going forward.superpull wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 9:57 am They don't approve it - they just confirm there's no objections.
So it's all with TFG and the banks at the moment. December is the point at which it is expected they will go to the PL and ask if there's any issues with them buying the club.
Unlike the last lot, there isn't any obvious worries, so the PL are expected to waive it through in a week or 3.
