I'm not even sure it's that tbh, more just the sheer incompetence of the Premier League writing rules in a clueless and unenforceable way that an independent panel can't then uphold.

They never really planned to implement their own rules and so every time they have it's turned up yet another hole they hadn't consider or given due diligence to.

The premier league isn’t going to relegate city to league 1/2 no way pep and haaland and co are their major stars they will eventually settle for a massive fine which will be a pittance to them easy for them to do what they did to us and forest because it wouldn’t be a huge loss to them if either got relegated it’s all about image and money and unfortunately we aren’t high on either level

So they're not even arsed that they're cooking the books, just as long as they do it at a fair market value. Corrupt the the core.

So totally ok to sell assets to yourself as long as you are charging yourself fair market value... Can't see anything wrong with that, nope nothing at all 🙄

No reason we can’t sell Goodison to ourselves for what, 50% of what the new stadium cost?

Hope they checked those valuations with CBRE or Savills, sounds cheap to me for a 231 room London hotel, you could just about have bought Usmanovs London house for that.

Hahahaha Leicester can’t be charged by the EFL either as they’ve since become a PL member again within the reporting period so are no longer under their jurisdiction

Also handy to note Leicester changed their accounting period to finish in June rather than May as had been previous in order to escape punishment

if city get found guilty of the 115 charges - as if
fine them one BILLION pounds net - which is the money they spent on winning their first prem title
and order them to distribute the money to the lower leagues so every club from the championship below gets a donation

The media are reporting that there are four clubs lining up to sue City for compensation, should they be found guilty. Surely this is the perfect opportunity for Everton and Forest to really put pressure on the PL by notifying them of their intent to sue the Premier League for compensation, should City be found not guilty.
If City are found guilty, Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Tottenham intend to drag them through the courts for.loss of earnings, since they cheated. Therefore, if they are found not guilty, why can Everton and Forest not take similar legal action against the Premier League on the basis that they were unfairly punished for alleged cheating, whilst another member of the same group was allowed to get away scot free. We are talking millions of pounds in prize money that was forfeited last year, as a result of two separate points deductions, along with the impact the investigations and subsequent punishments have had on the Everton Football Club brand. Let's not forget that the club has been for sale throughout the process. Surely, the negative press around allegations of cheating and the punishments dished out would have had a negative effect on the clubs reputation and valuation. Then there is the cost of defending ourselves against the allegations and the cost of appeals, all of which puts a club already in a financially precarious position into even more trouble.

I’m not sure how you go about being able to sue anyone if there’s a not guilty verdict? Or how Everton could sue the PL for being found guilty of something they actually admitted to?

I think the basis of what you're saying has a semblance of "a possibilty" However..define "cheating" ? Did City "cheat" ? Did Everton, Forest Leicester Cheat or just try to bend the rules to suit considering no-one had/has any clarity of what the actual rules were....
As we've just seen Chelsea got away with the sale to themselves scenario...cheating or just being clever to identify a loophole in the "rules" and get away with it....
