We probably would've been better going for a Hayden Hackney type of winger for Moyes. Someone who is almost certainly going to run up and down endlessly.

Maybe got away with it a bit today, was clear we needed to make changes and more of them before he did so.
McNeil was flagging long before the planned sub, Gana should have come off for Tim too.
Meh, still won and it's hard to criticise when you've come away with three points!

It’s amazing our away form compared to the home form can’t understand it at all we would be certs for champions league if we could win at home he makes it work away when there is no expectation of a win but needs to change it at home especially in tight games where there is need for something different

Think it’s partially phycological, players don’t really feel it’s “home” yet, it happened to Arsenal and Spurs too, will get better.

It's tactical and related to player quality. We can set up brilliantly away, nullifying the opposition, playing on the break, exploiting space behind defences that want to step up and dominate the ball and the space. Moyes and the players have the formula nailed by this stage of the season.
We've actually setup quite attacking in a lot of the home games, but we don't have the individual quality or technical ability to unlock packed, deep defences and we've been picked off in a similar way when we're overcommitting at home. Moyes needs to do better at home for sure, but mainly we need better players and difference makers. Attacking full-backs with quality could make a big difference there.

Pretty good analysis today.
I like the early graphic showing how we were getting Ndiaye and McNeil central; can’t help thinking that Dibling could thrive with this tactical shift.

So if we had a better and more attacking manager where would we be in the league? Cause I’m not sure I was expecting anything better than 8th after the shit we’ve been through. NSNO and all that but some people are expecting instant miracles.
We all said it would take 3 seasons to be where we want to be. In 1 season he’s got us in contention for Europe. After what most people said was a shit transfer window as well.
What manager gets this squad from regular relegation contenders to champions league football in 1 season? I’d love to know.

He was a bit abrasive in a couple of his post match comments again. Seems to be a bit snarkier now it feels than he used to be?
Asked about what he saw from Beto to give him the chance today and basically said it was more what he’d seen from Barry. Asked about what the club was doing to “support” McNeil given the social media stuff post Palace move not happening and said along the lines of the club are paying his wages and implying that was kinda all. Hasn’t treated him differently and he got a chance because he trained well.
He did mix in some more positive comments but you still feel this air around him of him being unimpressed with the tools given to him in some positions. Maybe I’m reading too much into such things though.
From this, bits I’m mentioning are from around 3 min mark.

I know football isn’t xg, but that table has us in 13th, 6 points less, and 4 points off relegation.
We’ve been riding our luck this season, although we’ve probably deserved some of it due to our generally poor treatment by match officials and var.

Strange interview and a bit disappointing that, he comes across as arrogant and his comments about Barry and McNeil are quite poor.
