We needed a bit of sugar with the move to BMD. I can see why they did it. Raises us a level whilst also giving us a chance of keeping him longer term. Most things are a risk at our current position, but hell, we're extremely lucky we're still in the league.

We don't need options from the bench too?

A few seem to be imagining prime Barcelona and working back from there, rather than recognising where we've been the last 5 years. I know it's been hard but give it time folks.

We've got options on the bench that make little to no impact while we've got gaping holes in the team.
