It’s a foul.

Other way round and we’d be wanting that given.

Yeah, I thought it was a foul.

That aside, a real shame not to get anything out of that because we did create a lot.

It's not a clear and obvious error from the referee imo.

It's borderline, maybe a slight and I mean slight foul, but again it comes back to the use of VAR. Was that a clear and obvious mistake to not give the foul? I don't believe so, and in that case the goal should stand.
That is the perfect description of the incident.
It's not a clear and obvious mistake so he shouldn't be getting involved in it.
It's the complete lack of consistency that does my head in.
Last week we saw lascells catch jininez with an elbow clear as day, yes jiminez made more of it but it was an elbow to the face, nothing of var
Then today a slight contact with the defender, who was as weak as piss in the challenge and oh yeah you better go and have a look at that.
The whole system is a fucking shambles.

We deserved something there I think. More good signs, might be a tough run but eventually we will come out the other side.

A soft foul, if there's such a thing?!

Yeah if the ref gives the foul I'd be a bit annoyed because of how easily the defender went down of very minimal contact, but I'd accept the decision and wouldn't expect VAR to overturn it.

On the flip side the contact is so minimal and the defender so weak that it could easily be given, as it was initially... It's maybe a foul, maybe... So how does that suddenly become a clear and obvious error?

It doesn't and it shouldn't.

Some people may say it's a foul, which is perfectly fine imo... The issue isn't if it's a foul though, the issue is that was it clear and obvious to the point where it should be over turned? The answer is absolutely not.

They gave the goal, it wasn't a clear and obvious error... Goal should stand.

It's definitely a foul for me.

We'd be pissed if that happened against us and wasn't given.

But I'm glad Dyche is making a scene, standing up and not rolling over, we need that.

Don't know if blindness or stubbornness but doesn't seem to want to make proactive changes. It cost us against Man City and absolutely cost us today.
