Didn’t see the game today but these comments sound like a real 180.
We weren’t that fussed, then he showed a bit more and we thought he was a baller, now he’s no good?
Is it just that he’s inconsistent?
Hasn't he got no goals and no assists. That's pretty consistent

I can’t tell if it was the way Bournemouth set up or Young not being a natural left-sided player but O’Brien functioned much more like a regular right back today instead of the flex role we’ve been seeing. Lindstrom had a higher starting position with no space down the outside due to the lack of overlapping threat so instead of being able to drive with the ball and fire in crosses, he kept having to cut in from the right which looked awkward and unnatural.
I was skeptical but Harrison subbing in on the right really changed things for the better because Bournemouth were giving him space to shift the ball onto his natural left foot and swing it in.

Certainly not seen enough to spend the money on him.
His head goes when he can’t get into the game. I can’t be having players like that.

Yeah, when he’s not on it he makes terrible decisions and becomes a turnover machine.
Argument can be made that he’s not a winger but someone’s got to play on the right.

I hope the club changes mentality away from buying players simply because they're nice and try hard.
Lindstrom's role is to produce and to contribute towards goals, and he hasn't done that yet.
Fine to give him plenty of opportunity for the rest of the season - especially given our squad's limited options in attack - but come the summer reset, we have to drop any deadweight where we can afford to try someone else.

We don’t really have too many options other than to give him plenty of opportunities for the rest of the season so hopefully he makes a strong case to sign him, otherwise as you say.

One thing playing in his favour is that we’re going to have massive squad turnover this summer.
At his relatively young age, if he’s approaching a decent level then he may get signed simply so we can focus on all the other targets we have to get and then embed in the team

Apparently the option to buy is 22.5 euros, so about £18mil.
He's been much better since Moyes, but still not justified the money he'd cost. Yet.

He's being asked to play RWB which isn't his position, so although I'd sign him I wouldn't be doing so to play that position.
Ndaiye, Alcaraz, Lindstrom should all be competing for the duel ten slots with Doucoure resigned on a lower wage and one year deal, and a pacey RWB signed.

Wouldn't be happy with us sending £15m+ on this fella tbh. Doesn't seem to have the physicality and doesn't seem capable of beating a player or having many goal contributions. Good runner but that's about it.

Yeah, I don't mind him, but if we're to kick on I think we'd need an upgrade as he hasn't really provided enough.
Still has a bit of a chance until the end of the season to show a little more though.

I think he's a decent player and worth signing. Harrison will go back and we'll need more bodies even if he's ultimately a squad player

I actually think Harrison is the better player and I wouldn't sign him either
