Doing a good job at the moment, thought he got the tactics spot on today. I know Ipswich were poor but we still dominated for most of the match.

Had some criticism on here for starting Gueye over Mangala but I thought Gana had a really good game and showed it was a good call.

Main this he's found a way for us to stop shipping goals but still maintain a decent attacking threat with Ndaiye and McNeil always giving us a chance of creating something.

Looking like we might have a reasonably comfortable season if things continue as they have over the past few games.

Yes we'll be streaky and I don't expect it to be plain sailing, but we've already opened up a bit of a gap and had we not collapsed against Bournemouth we'd be mid table right now.

Like all crap teams in the division we'll have good spells and bad spells, I meant more than we'll hopefully have more of the former than latter. Comfortable for me would be finishing 14th so whilst I'm sounding positive it's very much through the lens of what's happened in recent seasons.

Would still have moyes over him

I won't Moan about it tho while he is getting results he did a decent job last season

I think alot of the historia about sacking him from myself and others came from the manner of how we was loosing and how fragile a 2 goal lead was for us

That is 100% aimed at us.

I’d hate it, then I’d get on board, I’d love it for a bit, then completely hate it.

Rather stick with dyche than go down that route.

I really struggle with this thought process, and find it quite ageist. Mourinho, was and still is one of the best managers in the world, yes hes a bit marmite, but hes unquestionably one of the best option we could dream of. He has performed well at comparable jobs as well, I think people only assume he can work with the elite, but he has done both, yes it was a while ago, but he has done both.
He would elevate us moving into the new stadium in a comparable way to what Carlo did, and enable us to attract significantly better players, but that doesnt mean we would go down the route of buying passed it has beens.

He is not one of the best managers in the world and hasn't been for some time.

I think this as a 62 year old man, so age has nothing to do with it. Name a club he's been successful with in the past ten years who haven't had big budgets. His football is stale and I just don't want him. Age has also made me accept my oponion means fuck all

slightly above Benitiez and immediately below Moyes in my wishlist of managers

I suppose that depends on what your definition is, since leaving Porto his lowest points per match is 1.70, at Roma, currently at 1.99 at Fenerbache. No matter where he has been he has done pretty well, now you need to caveat that with the fact he usually goes to strong teams, but even at Spurs he was at 1.77 ppm, which is the same as Ange is currently achieving

Apart from Spurs he wins trophy's everywhere he goes.

Fair enough, but you did state you wanted 'young and hungry', therefor implying he was too old to have that hunger.

And what is success, as I previously said, his win percentage is still pretty good. I think he would be an improvement on Dyche, and for once, it would probably be a managerial appointment that could take the current squad, use it and enhance it. His approach isnt the most appealing on the eye, but im not sure we have a squad that would be able to work with one of these 'young and hungry' expansive managers
