Any team outside the top 8 would have them in their squad.

The team isn’t as bad as you’re making out.

The first manager I walked out on. Had a better win % than dyche.

There is absolutely room to play better football with this team.

We saw it last season with a higher press.

It’s been abandoned this season for some reason.

Also, mangala has to play for Doucoure. Just someone who is comfortable putting their foot on the ball would make a massive difference to this team.

That tonight was pure rubbish and it could be so much better with the players available.

Was still a lot worse than what we’ve had under dyche with a better team I’d say.

I have argued and will continue to argue at length that we have too many players who’s ball control and basic passing skills are poor for this level, but it does wind me up how much we rush the ball forward and give it away rather than knocking it about the back and wait for better options. I am, however, not sure if it’s coming from the manager or the baying crowd that can’t bear to see 4+ passes between defence and goalkeeper. Fulham very much forced us into going long today though because these player absolutely can’t beat a press. Mangala should have been subbed on first for Doucoure and much earlier which is definitely on Dyche

I think Doucs gets a bad rep but you absolutely can’t play him and Gana in a 2

Today was at the lower end of our 'pretty performance' bracket, but I dont think the top end of the bracket is all that far above, and needs favourable opposition and conditions to be going our way.

We don't and can't force the change to improve that area as results would just disappear down the drain trying to be something we're not. The rot would set in quickly as it often does.

Not only are many of our players deficient in certain skill areas, they clearly don't cope with considerable change to gameplan and approach.

I thought today looked as much like some of the players just weren't on, as much as it was tactical approach, even so we had a few decent chances.

Was bittersweet to see Iwobi play at Goodison without a weight on his shoulders. The unbridled smile was revealing.

You’ve convinced yourself of that but there is zero evidence. McKenna for example is an incredible coach who has got Ipswich from League 1 to the Prem in 2 years playing good football. He will probably be at a top club next season -

bet he would do a better job with this squad and have us keep the ball more - he might have Mangala in and N’diaye as the 10, who knows, but to say giving this squad to someone else is setting them up to fail is tremendously short sighted and a little too pro Dyche.

Yesterday was a really turgid performance, I think it's a mix of the manager and players really. Dyche obviously told them to go out and keep it tight which led to a very defensive performance, but it seemed everyone was completely off the pace too... So often there was no movement from anyone, poor passing when options we're available, no on willing to progress the ball up field other than Gana.

I'm sure some of that is the manager's instructions, but some was definitely the players too.

I look at West Ham who ditched Moyes because his safe football wasn't good enough, and I imagine us in a year's time with a tiny squad and having sold Branthwaite just to bring in 5 new players. It doesn't fill me with confidence that binning Dyche off despite keeping us safe under very difficult circumstances because we want nicer footy is actually going to lead us to a better place.

The problem is when we throw out horrendous performances like this it just strengthens the demand for him to go at the end of the season. Even though we've actually picked up 9 points in the past 5 games which is a good return.

He might well do a better job but there’s also zero evidence that McKenna would be any good at a top club, or indeed suited to the PL. He’s done brilliantly in the lower leagues but despite Ipswich having something like the 4th or 5th highest overall spend in all of the PL this summer - he’s not doing great this season is he…
