I can't remember for definite but I feel like there was a fact knocking around that Port Vale were the only English team that played at Goodison Park to have a 100% record against us (played us once in the cup and beat us).
Might be wrong on that, but if correct then quite fitting that we beat them at the first first team match at BMD.

We seem to play better in an empty stadium

No it isn't right risky, the game at goodison in 1996 ended 2-2 but they did knock us out in the replay at their place

That camera angle is a lot better than the one for the U21 trial games.

Ah maybe it was they were the only team that we played at Goodison that we never beat, sure it was something like that unless I totally imagined it.

Port Vale are the only club to have played Everton at all 4 of our grounds so far.
Priory Road (friendly in 1883 drew 2-2)
Anfield (friendly in 1888 won 3-1)
Goodison Park (League in 1930 lost 3-2 & Cup in 96 drew 2-2)
Bramley Moore (today's friendly. Won 2-1)

Ooh! Do you think they knew that? When they booked it?

Likely.
But we played Bolton in Stanley Road before we moved to Priory road as well. Was only their B-team at Bramley Moore though, so not sure it counts.
Crewe played at the three "grounds" plus Stanley Park, (can't find anywhere to say Bootle have played at Goodison, but they did the other 3 homes).
Record so far must be Southport though. They played at Stanley Park, Priory Road, Anfield, Goodison and Walton Stiles (in the one match we played there waiting for Priory Road to be ready).
Play them at the new place and they'll be the only club to play us at 6 addresses we have called home.

I'm struggling to understand how we navigate this USA trip.
As far as I can see, we either flog the first 11 to death and risk injuries, which obviously would be catastrophic.
Or we go with youngsters and likely get turned over, which could hit squad morale and also put doubts into the minds of prospective players coming in.
All games are on Sky, and we don't want to look like the whipping boys.
Am I overthinking it? Got me a bit concerned, to be fair.

Minutes on the pitch. Miles in the legs.
Think nothing else.

Good chance to expose Armstrong, Chermiti, etc. to Premier-ish speed/athleticism
