Unfortunately he has potential boo boy written all over him.

We always find one player to hone in on when things aren't going great and the fact that games seem to pass him by will make him stand out by not standing out. He's neat and tidy but in games where we go long, which we shouldn't be doing as much now but Moyes does have form in reverting to type against the better teams, then he can be perceived as a passenger and absence the silky moves of Grealish and Ndiaye he can look anonymous for large passages of play.

Think we'd better off going with Garner Gana Merlin at the expense of KDH in games versus the likes of City Arsenal Liverpool. Especially if he persists with the perceived long ball.

I agree, he is anonymous

He’s definitely doesn’t look right as the number 10 in this system. He has not been an anonymous player so far in his career but he’s been largely anonymous for us.

I think we’d be harder to play through if it was more of a proper midfield three with Garner sitting, Dewsbury-Hall left, and Gana right. We flashed this system in two preseason games and it looked like a good fit for our personnel, not sure why it’s been totally abandoned.

Anyway, huge disappointment so far. I think there’s a player in there but you’d be hard pressed to defend his performances so far.

I’m watching a different game then. I think he’s good on the ball. I’d like him to get on it more though, but thought this is the way we are playing, not down to him that he doesn’t get it enough.

I’m not arguing with the posters above, more seeking to learn. Explain to me what he should be doing.

He’s probably what you get for £25m these days.

Suspect he’ll play a number of different roles for us and be decent enough in all of them without standing out.

He’s so easy to play through in that number ten. Too slow and weak.

Drop him back when lanky number ten under David Moyes season approaches.

Think he's been decent in most games, links great with Grealish and makes some excellent off the ball runs.

He's not Doucoure though, so in games like on Saturday he'll struggle, that's more down to the system and how we use him in that kind of game. Let's face it there's very few players can do what Doucoure did off the ball, so asking KDH to do the same isn't going to be fruitful.

Against teams where we have more of the ball and more space he'll shine, so don't have any issues with him tbh.

Can't afford someone with a bus ticket. Living off the goal ATM and contributing zip.

Very harsh that IMHO, he's been quiet in a few games and decent in others

It was over before it started for some so not surprised to see certain people jumping on it every time he has a quiet game.

Almost like they want him to fail for some reason.

Think he's been tidy and not made any massive mistakes but can do more. He's not a transfer that's going to instantly change games so he'll take a while for people to see the value. He'll be a very good and important player for us.

He’s fine, just not a needle mover in any way.

Would rather have him than not but as I’ve said before he’s a 27 year old who’s best football in recent years has been in the championship so he’s going to have to step up a level to be a success here.

I think people forget that. He needs to be treated like young player who needs time and games to get up to speed.

Our expectations have risen quite a lot since we won a few on the bounce and we started playing some nice football.

He is a bit flimsy, and not much of a presence defensively, but he's also one of the reasons we've played well in those games. Big step up in quality from Doucoure. I imagine though, Rohl would be the preferred third midfielder in some games once up to speed.
