Andy chatting like Harrison is the worst player to have ever graced Goodison. He's been more than fine in the job he's been asked to do. And he's a low risk, relatively cheap option. Of all the money we've wasted over the years he's the least of our problems, and certainly not a stick to beat Thelwell with.
If Dyche gets credit for us still being a PL team, so does Thelwell.

Yea he actually was. Made things happen, had a couple of chances. Worked hard. So he missed those chances, big deal. This is your issue, with none of this are you looking big picture. It’s all reactionary, and often wide of the mark.

I mean your post here doesn't seem to exactly match the general opinion posted after the match, but yes sure I'm the one who's wide of the mark here

Your reactionary takes are, yes. And they lack nuance and an appreciation of circumstances.

I think Andy looks at the big picture more than most, to be fair.
Might not be true in this instance as he's definitely focusing on the most recent performance in this instance, but I'd imagine we all do that at times.
I'd say the majority were asking for harrison to be dropped, there were people who didn't want him in again this season, and I think we can all agree he's not exactly set the world on fire in an attacking capacity even if he can be relied upon to work really hard.
I wouldn't call him a success even if I can forgive him losing his head and all composure against wolves.

Permanent signings made under Thelwell:
Tarkowski
Gana
Garner
Maupay
McNeil
Onana
Beto
Chermiti
Young
O'Brien
Ndiaye
Iroegbunam (PSR Shenanigans)
Begovic
Maupay and Beto are both shockers considering ability/age with neither likely to get much better at this point of their careers and neither being good enough.
All the others I'm pretty happy with. Tarkowski, Gana, Young and Begovic are solid older players who can do a job where the opportunity to sign them without spending any money on a transfer fee was there, apart from a whopping £2m on Gana. All the others were signed under the age of 25 and have potential/resale value. Not to say they've worked under his manager but the type of players that might work under the next.
I don't think the loans have been great just because they haven't suited the manager, but I guess that doesn't mean the players themselves were/are poor.
Quite happy for Thelwell to stay.

Will Thelwell have the balls to tell TFG its time to get rid of Dyche or is he too close to him.

Yeah, I’d give him a 2 year extension as we need some continuity.
Keeping Thelwell on means you can move on from Dyche and you’re not getting things arse about tit. Would look very chaotic from TGF if they brought in a new manager and then looked to change the DoF in the summer.
With looser purse strings, we’d have the likes of MGW and Gnonto in the team and we’d look more favourably on his signings.

Hopefully TFG’s soccer advisors have already told them the score
