Just to address an actual point that was raised earlier and not to get involved in the who is the biggest cunt debate - He had a good game and people were still calling for him to be subbed. Reason for that is that he has occasional games where he does play like this yet there is still no output. Industrious, hardworking, yet ultimately ineffective.

Personally I think that his crossing has improved over the course of this season, but again, still no real impact.

This is why we need to sign better players than Harrison - we need players whose stats output matches the eye test - not ones who look good but produce nothing.

Agreed, but his story is one I would say fits a Moyes revival.

He has had a higher output even if at a different standard, and does all the other things moyes wants from his players in terms of hard work etc,
he struggles with the mental side of the game and lacks self believe, and needs someone who can restore that confidence.

I think with a bit more time Moyes would get way more out of him, unfortunately I think it would have to be a drastic and probably unrealistic change in form to win the fans back at this point. I don't think it's a coincidence that he played well in an away game.

Nah - call me a sneering cunt, but I’m not into reinventing a 28 yr old with almost zero output to work with.

Nice lad, hard worker, but then so am I. Also like Jack, I am too old to be reinvented and not good enough to play for Everton. We have a lot in common - I wish we had more (hairline, fitness, bank account) but if wishes were fishes we’d all have some fried and if wishes were horses the beggars would ride.

He is another part of the summer opportunity to bring in young and hungry players.

I can't see us identifying, researching, communicating with(shhhh!), outbidding and then bringing in more than half a dozen first teamers this coming window, without a bedded DoF etc,... and it all gelling.

It is a time for transformation, yes, but we also don't have a lot to spend (to fit within rules), and we still need continuity.

On that note players like Harrison and Doucoure I actually do see staying, even if ideally I'd prefer they didnt. And cross my fingers that players like Gana, Branthwaite and Pickford stay/re-sign.

Moyes is a steady phase-in phase-out guy, a measured, practiced, Mr Miyagi. He doesnt rip up everything on a whim or go big-style rapid change, successfully anyway.

I wouldn't even want Harrison to stay on a free let alone pay for him... Are some people genuinely supporting the idea of buying him?!

People don't want Lindstrom who's a far better player and probably would cost around the same fee, but Harrison? There's people actually saying to buy him?

Genuinely does seem like one good game has people thinking we should keep him next season.

He just isn’t it. Working hard doesn’t mean he’s a moyes type player.

He wants his midfielders and wide players to be productive and contribute a decent amount of goals and assists.

McNeil has the same amount of goal involvements in 15 games as Harrison does in 58.

Outside of that what else does he offer?

He’s a championship/bottom of the prem type player who was coached to a higher level by an incredible manager in Bielsa and that’s as good as his career will get.
