I do worry about how a lot of our fans are going to behave.

I do as well I'm afraid, and I actually don't mind a pitch invasion.

Will just spoil what should be a nice if slightly sombre atmosphere with a bit of an all about me vibe. Can't fucking stand it when people let their little monitrex clad kids get on the pitch at us or their ground over the road.

I think it will be anarchy to be honest.

Almost impossible to police

Why? When we stayed up and people invaded the pitch nothing happened, so what are you worrying for?

Yeah, is what it is. It's a modern working class city, helms will be helms, but whatever happens I won't let it spoil my last day with the old lady.

Would love a moment to lie down on the pitch. Smell it. Kiss it. Close my eyes for a moment. Completely impractical when occupied by hoards of Blues and completely impossible as I won’t be there anyway.

Maybe I’ll buy one of those framed turf things, or make one myself.

A spontaneous outpouring of emotions is one thing.

A pre-meditated act to do nothing other than prevent/delay what plans people had for a send off is a completely different - and incomparable - thing.

This is completely different.

We have people talking about bunking into the ground, taking screwdrivers and hammers to remove their seats.

Just worried some people get a bit carried away.

12 on a Sunday seems to be the rumour for the last game.

Sounds terrible that. Midday Sunday games aren’t even a thing anymore are they?

Nobody's doing any of that nonsense. We love the place, so hardly likely to destroy it. Only ST' holders would want their seat, so easy to get them nicked if they did. I'd stop someone if they were damaging things because it belongs to us all. You can't jib Goodison anymore mate, not with those turnstiles. If the club plan properly they'll open them at full time and let the fans say goodbye to the old lady... it's such a huge event they can't take it from us. If they act stupidly so will some fans. When Wrexham came up everyone lauded their invasion.... because it was linked to Ryan Gosling. No mention of risk, vandals and it being wrong.

Like every club, we have our.fair share of absolute bellends, who believe that they have a "right" to dig up a piece of the pitch, steal a seat, take a sign off the wall to take home, etc.

Whatever happens at the end of the Southampton game, I just hope and pray that Goodison is given a respectful send off and there are no major issues.
