An interim manager, anybody, just get rid of Dyche ffs, the irony that waiting for a good looking take over is probably stopping action being taken and it might see us down this time.

I don't think getting an interim manager is all that fruitful tbh... It would make a lot more sense to get a permanent one in now so they can understand the squad, what we need in the summer and if we should renew anyone whose contact is expiring.

It's too short term thinking just about the next 6 months when there's so much rebuilding required in the summer. I'd much prefer someone like Potter to be given time to really suss out what he needs in the summer rather than coming in blind to an extent.

Until the end of the season, I don't think it would be. I'm not suggesting any longer than that. And it might allow us to sort out who we really want, for the summer, with a clean slate.

Moyes wouldn’t come here on a six month firefighter deal.

He’d want a proper contract.

Think he’d settle on a deal where he gets X number of years if he keeps us up

Be amazed if it’s anyone other than Moyes to replace Dyche

I don't want him, but 100% he takes a short term deal, if offered.
He's hardly inundated with offers, took a 6 month deal with West Ham and I firmly believe this is the job he wants. If he got given a 6 month deal with incentives to stay up, to come in and prove himself and get the opportunity to sign in for longer, he'd take it all day long, rather than being overlooked in the summer. A 6 month deal is his best opportunity at getting a longer term deal, and he'd know that

Really frustrating we will have Dyche in the dugout on Wednesday. This is a golden opportunity for a 6 pointer as was Southampton and we have Dyche in, who is completely finished.

It’s not gonna take much to get more out of this squad, despite what his ardent supporters say.

You just back yourself into a corner with an interim manager. Anything half decent will have him wanting the job.

Not really, thats our application of the rules. West Ham got Moyes in for 6 months, at the end of that they said thanks and departed ways, and they got Pellegrini. If applied correctly it can be advantageous for all parties

I think he would, but the wage would probably equate to an 18 month deal anyway.

Definitely think we should go with Potter. If for no reason other than he could probably fill in and do a better job at left back than Myko.

I wouldn’t want Moyes back as manager longer term but beginning to wonder if it could work til the end of the season then him move up to dof.

With the work required at the end of the season I’m not sure Thelwell is up to the job given what we’ve seen so far. Moyes has in the main proved he can work to a budget and come up with something better than Thelwell has.

But then I think Sunderland 🤯

Not a chance Potter comes, even post-takeover.

We’re still a couple of years from stability, imo.

*a couple of years of good decision making, I should say.
