Not after I've had Douglas Luiz dangled in front of my face (but otherwise yes).

Honestly, if we go into the season with Garner as a starting midfielder then I'm going to be a bit disheartened.

Defo. Would be a huge yes from me.

Dewsbury-Hall is very press resistant and progresses the ball well, albeit with dribbling rather than passes.

We’d look much better moving the ball from the centre backs through midfield with him in the side, even if he’s not the most exciting name out there

Funny that it gets mentioned time and time again that our promising youngsters need game time on loan , but ok let's take this dude . Not against it just don't think it's a Moyes type of a deal.
Because Mykolenko is ok but it's easy to play an inexperienced player there enough to develop as he's hardly a key part of the team.

Give him 10 starts, another 10 off the bench and that's perfect, and I feel we can happily leave Myko out that much because other than being solid defensively he doesn't offer much else.

Do you think they have the wrong Everton in need of rebuilding?

Luiz, Hackney, and Dewsbury-Hall are all good options for what we need next to Gana.

Just get one in already.

I could imagine getting a player like Aznou, but only if we're agreeing that he'd play a lot of minutes as that's really the biggest thing for a player at this age...I doubt he'd switch Bayern's bench for ours.

How?

Unless we’re offering stupid wages, which we look like we’re actively not doing anymore, any agent worth their salt will be telling them to wait and see if bigger clubs are interested. We’ve got very little pull 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't say Hackney or Dewsbury-Hall would not be enticed by playing here, we're offering a huge platform for both of them by giving them what they're both lacking which is PL playing time/experience.

Maybe Hackney might wait for the bigger club, but he must know (and Dewsbury-Hall has experienced it) playing for a big club is great if you're playing regularly but it's hard to make a name for yourself when you're not getting a significant amount of minutes most weeks.

This does work both ways too, there isn't a huge pool of PL clubs who would be willing to play these level of players as regulars next season. We get someone else in, that's another door closed for them.

Anyhow, these feel like realistic targets to me, more so than Luiz who I think can sit on his hands and wait and see as he'll know he'd get a decent offer by the end of the window.

How are other teams managing to sign players?
