I think a lot of our targets are a season too early.

Palace and Forest are much more attractive clubs at this current time sadly.

How come most of our transfer rumours are:

"This team that team are after this player that player......


Everton are also interested".

Listened to the byline on the blueroom before.

Paddy boyland didn’t seem confident that anything was in the works.

He said we’ve been trying for a right winger but for whatever reason nothing has been close.

He did also say he’ll only mention a player if he knows talks have been progressing though so it’s hopeful that he’s mentioned that young full back today.

I reckon we’ll go from a rumour to signed in pretty much 24 hours

It just seems like such a no-brainer. I think if we really went after him, we'd get him.

I think the lack of rumours and leaks to itk’s are because the Friedkin’s are notorious for being quiet and also we’ve a complete new board and backroom team, so probably no moles.
I prefer it like this, I’d rather hear nothing then all of a sudden, bam, we’ve signed someone, rather than being linked to all and sundry, get are hopes up and then crushed when they sign for someone else, and we were not even interested in the first place.

It's not only the buying club that can release information regarding expressed interest, the potential sellers can also leak information.
I can understand why people want to give the Friedkins the benefit of the doubt but we're yet to see any evidence of their intentions regarding the transfer window.
The apparent slow activity may be a symptom of being in a multi club ownership model.

Not sure about that mate, we got wind of our Barry interest about a month before, didn't we? Travers was about a week before?

It seems the Friedkins have come up with a new ingenious strategy to stop leaks on potential signings..........just don't buy anyone.

There will always be snippets of information comes out but we no longer have Kenwright and Moshiri tipping off the their mates in the media or Joorabchian trying to leverage a move for one of his clients.
