He also gives us options.
I think he’d be best in a midfield three but I do think he can function in a double pivot (only with a ball-winner like Gana, mind you) and I also think he can play in the attacking midfield slot.
Positional flexibility plus a track record of ball progression well beyond what our other CMs offer. Hope we don’t overpay but I think this is a good player for us.

27 though… is that the same age as Luiz?

We need football players, not historical landmarks!
Jokes, I’ll be happy if we land him

Yeah, same age as Luiz.
Dewsbury-Hall didn’t make Leicester’s first team until fairly late in life so has surprisingly little mileage on his legs.
Luiz has also played less than I’d expect for a 27 year old.

Him and Luiz on loan would be good.
Anything that means we see less of Garner and Tim is fine by me.

KDH and Luiz would be fantastic

More than I’d like to pay but Chelsea fucked up the market for him when they bought him and we’re not really calling the shots here.

£25m for a midfielder like that who should give us a good three or four years is fine.
Just don’t like how Chelsea can sign a player for £30m, hardly play them then get their money back.
Should be taking at least a 50% loss on that.

Solid enough signing for me.
Feel we may have SLIGHTLY over paid but he is an improvement on what we have.

All of his permanent clubs will have played in blue.

My main reservation is, he just feels like an Everton player - you know what I mean?
