It's basically match rigging in broad daylight, pathetic, the whole competition is now a farce.

European fixtures mean that Champions League teams can't play Europa League teams. Absolutely nothing stopping the CL teams playing each other or the EL teams playing each other though. It's absolute bollocks and rigged but they're bending over to it because otherwise they'll throw a fit and threaten to leave the competition.

It’s because the CL is split over two weeks? So if Arsenal played one week and Chelsea the next in the CL, if they drew each other in the league cup then there’s not a free game week for the match to be played? That was my vague understanding of the bullshit excuse

We've been put on the second week rather than the slot between Villa and the shite, so that has worked out well
