You've got to buy potential, especially in 28 year olds

Apparently we haven’t made a bid according to the Echo and the Athletic

£17m is suspiciously cheap, imo.

69 in 230 in LaLiga so 1 in 3.3 - I'm not counting his goals in Turkey because the league is shit

Skeptical about this one. Loan with option is ok though. I’m not bothered about him being 28 because he could play for another 6 years and 26-34 are the prime years for most players. Tosuns highlight reel is pretty good too so I wouldn’t be surprised if he flopped here. Similarly, he seems on the YouTube highlights to thrive on good service so I don’t see how it makes sense.

I'll post the same thing I put in the transfer thread - our scouts are a joke:

And I imagine when you take into account minutes on the pitch it looks better?

I'd have questions around what that's based on considering Beto and Barry are both on it and are very different types of player.

The Turkish league is physical - just not in a English football sense of physical

I reckon the 2 missed pens from the 2 current dopes probably was what did it for Moyes.

They basically said we're not interested at all, not just that we haven't put a bid in

It’s probably a reflection of how we play more than anything.

A lot of their underlying stats end up looking similar because they’re both getting lots of aimless long balls whacked at them, we’re not creating good chances for them, etc.
