I was no fan of Kenwright but I'm sure at the time there was stories that he strongly opposed the appointment and tried to talk Moshiri out of it but he over ruled him.
If that’s true then he should have walked from his position.

He was very ill by this point. Not sure he deserves the blame. It was clearly Moshiri's decision.

I’m not blaming him for the decision, but ill or not, if he was truly one of us he should have stood down, staying put or silent, says he was ok with the most unpopular appointment of all time.
It was a massive insult to Evertonians. Unforgivable.

The story at the time was Usmanov was heavily involved in pushing for Benitez; makes you wonder why.
