Very subjective I agree, but for me they'd rate higher than Ferrari and Unsworth (when he played CB).

Out of all the players I wished we'd have been able to keep hold of at the time, Materazzi and Rooney were the two. Hot headed and a bit nuts (both), Materazzi was a very good defender, became part of a world cup winning team a handful of years after we had him and you could see that's where he was headed (no pun intended).

And Yobo's athleticism alone changed the way we played. He was a bit frustrating at times early on too, but became a very good reliable defender.

Yobo was great.

Played every single minute in one of our best ever seasons in the premier league.

Changed the way we played under Moyes. Once we got Arteta in the mix we were flying.

And Materazzi was a fantastic player. We didn't really get the best of him unfortunately, but he went on to become a genuinely world class defender.
